The Band are keen supporters of the Southern Counties Area Band Association (SCABA) and have done well at the SCABA spring and autumn contests over the past few years. The Band also qualified for the National Finals at Harrogate in 2005, their first appearance for 15 years, earning a creditable 5th place and promotion to the 1st Section.
At local level the band were Championship Section winners at the SCABA autumn contest in 1989 and 1991.
After gaining promotion to the First section in 2005 the Band are holding their own and looking for a good performance at Stevenage in March to consolidate their place in that section.
